Workplace Accident/Injury Reporting

FOR COLLEGE EMPLOYEES: An employee who has a work-related injury, illness, accident or exposure to hazardous materials must report the incident to their supervisor immediately. The supervisor must then contact Human Resources at +1 (607) 778-5319. All incidents require the completion of a Workers Compensations Packet. Packets are available from the Human Resources Office, Wales Center 103 or from your “MyCollege” portal.

All accidents are reviewed by the Director of Health and Safety. Accident Investigations are performed as needed. The summary log of Injuries and Illnesses required by New York State Public Employee Safety and Health is maintained by Broome County. As mandated by New York State, the log is posted on Campus from February 1 to April 30 each year. It can be found on the wall outside the Human Resources Office in Wales Center 103.
