Campus Emergency Alert System – Rave Alert

To ensure that SUNY Broome students and employees receive critical communications in the most timely manner possible, SUNY Broome uses an emergency alert system called Rave Alert. Rave Alert has a proven track record of quickly and reliably delivering emergency communications, which has led to its adoption by more than 1,000 colleges and universities.

Need to update your contact information for alerts?

Students, faculty and staff can update their contact information by logging into the MyCollege Portal and selecting the Rave Alert icon from the Quicklaunch menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I opt out/unsubscribe from Rave Alert?

As student or employee of the college, you are automatically enrolled in the Rave Alert. To opt out of text messages, you can log into your account through the MyCollege Portal and delete the mobile number from your registered Rave account profile or text STOP to 67283 or 226787. For security purposes, students (including former students) and employees will be asked to log into Rave to make their own changes to their contact information.

If you’re having trouble logging into your MyCollege account, please contact ITS at +1 (607) 778-5011.

Please note: You cannot opt out of alert messages sent to your SUNY Broome (acad.sunybroome.edu or sunybroome.edu) email address. If you have your SUNY Broome email address set to forward messages to your personal email, Rave Alerts will continue to go to your SUNY Broome email address and subsequently be forwarded along with other messages.
