This path offers individuals who hold an associates degree a way to earn a bachelors degree at a pace that fits their busy life and become comfortable with online courses.
Thanks to SUNY Broome’s 90/30 transfer agreement with Excelsior College, you can build on your Associate’s degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Health Science, Computer Studies, Electrical Technology, and others. Note that you must have already earned an Associates degree in Nursing to pursue the Bachelors in Nursing degree. You then transfer to Excelsior College to complete your Bachelor’s degree requirements.

SUNY Broome’s transfer agreement with Excelsior College covers Business areas with concentration in: Accounting, Global Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics, Finance, and General Business. Students can transfer up to 90 credits from SUNY Broome towards the Excelsior College Bachelor of Science in Business.

Liberal Arts (Human Services)
Individuals who have earned an Associate’s Degree in the Liberal Arts field can earn their Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences (with Human Service Concentration option), History, Natural Science, or Liberal Arts. By combining general education courses and sequences in history, mathematics, science and others, students can take up to 90 credits or three fourths of the coursework toward their Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Broome. Criminal Justice/National Security/Homeland Security and Emergency Management
After earning an AAS degree in Criminal Justice-Police at SUNY Broome, students can combine their degree with a third year of study at SUNY Broome and then transfer to Excelsior College for their final 33 credits of coursework to earn a Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice. The third year of study at SUNY Broome consists of additional courses in psychology, sociology, history, criminal justice and liberal arts electives. There are options for those interested in National Security or Homeland Security and Emergency Management also.
