SUNY Broome hosts Transfer Counselors-In-Residence. This program involves admissions or academic advising representatives from four-year institutions who visit SUNY Broome Community College for the express purpose of meeting with students for a variety of reasons, including:
- to answer specific admissions questions about their institutions
- to discuss the application process and timeline
- to discuss academic majors and outcomes of their institution
When possible, academic advisors from the four-year institutions will be able to discuss students’ academic progress and remaining requirements needed to meet standards for admission into the four-year institution. These meetings are informational and are neither implied nor explicit offers of acceptance.
