On Ice and Off-Ice Rental Information
Off ice rental rate for the Ice Center are as follows:
- Each active event date is $2000
- Each setup and teardown day is $600
Ice rental rates for the Ice Center are as follows:
- The standard ice rate is $240 per hour
- Ice rentals that start at 10 p.m. or later Monday-Saturday OR at 9 p.m. or later on Sunday have a rate of $220 per hour
- Ice rentals that end prior to 4 p.m. on weekdays while k-12 grade levels are in school have a rate of $140 per hour
- Please note that the application of the discounted ice rental rates is at the sole discretion of the SUNY Broome Ice Center and is done based on the group’s usage and other factors related to Ice Center operations.
Important notes for ice rentals:
- Groups are welcome to use the ice for private skating sessions, private birthday parties, or private open hockey or pickup games.
- Rental skates are available for an additional fee for all non-hockey usages. We offer rental hockey and figure skate sizes from a youth 7 to an adult 14. Please note that no one is allowed on the ice without wearing skates.
- Skating assist bars may be provided for children at no additional fee.
- If a group has any pucks on the ice then all skaters are required to wear hockey helmets.
- The Ice Center does not supply any helmets or other protective equipment.
The majority of our ice is contracted with our main rental groups during the offseason, but we do have other openings that are available.
