The BHM 123 Bartending and Management class begins with certifying you in TIPS. Alcohol Awareness, STOP DWI ( we bring them in) and Dram Shop law are covered extensively in this course.
Students will learn the legal responsibilities, health and safety concerns of the workplace. In many areas this certification is required to tend bar as bartenders also serve food. Certification is available by taking BHM 110 – Sanitation and Safety where you can earn your ServSafe Foodservice sanitation certification. You can see more about this course here; scroll down to BHM 110 – Sanitation and Safety in the first semester. Learn more about the certification itself.

Each bar is arranged as if you were training on the job, using blenders, a back sink, glassware and especially glassware identification and proper use, speed racks, bar rail, backbar, ice bins, and bottles so that you will gain knowledge by performing.
