Jennifer received her Master of Music in Choral Conducting from SUNY Binghamton where she studied with Dr. Bruce Borton. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded the music faculty award from SUNY Binghamton in 2010.
In 2005, Jennifer had the opportunity to travel to Nairobi, Kenya with Serving In Mission, where she taught music for the summer. In Nairobi, Jennifer created workshops for local teachers on ways to incorporate music into every day curriculum. It was this life changing experience that solidified in her mind the idea that music is the universal language.
Jennifer’s teaching career began in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she taught Pre-K thru 8th grade general music and chorus. After moving to the Southern Tier, Jennifer has been teaching music for the Binghamton City Schools since January 2008. Here in Binghamton, Jennifer has taught music for 3rd-12th grades including Elementary Chorus, Middle School Choruses and High School Choruses. Jennifer also created the PALS Bell Choir; a special needs bell ensemble that gives performances twice a year. Currently, she is the Choral Director at Binghamton High School’s Rod Serling School of Fine Arts. Jennifer conducts five vocal ensembles at the high school ranging from Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir, Pop Choir, Show Choir (Twilight Tones) and Davidge Choir. Jennifer’s students have been chosen for numerous honor’s festivals including All State, Area All State, and BCMEA. Her choirs are often asked to perform throughout the community.
Jennifer is actively involved in her church where she is the pianist. She maintains a small private piano and voice studio in her home. Jennifer and her husband have three lovely children and reside in Binghamton NY.
