Outdoor Fitness Court: The Outdoor Fitness Court is located along the SUNY Broome Student Center and Ice Center. It is a free, accessible space that encourages physical health and wellness at all fitness levels. The fitness court is open to students, faculty and staff. Whittaker Way: SUNY Broome’s Natural Areas span 125 acres, and feature 3.8 miles of well-marked trails that cross a variety of terrain. Open to both the campus community and the public, the land is a living laboratory for students – and also subject to continual improvements. Access to the trails at a path called Duane Whittaker’s Way on the hillside behind the Ice Center and Lot 14.Walking, running and hiking are permitted, but dogs must be leashed. Hunting and motorized vehicles are prohibited, as is littering. Remember: If you bring it in, take it out with you!

Stamped Hornets Path: Follow the Hornet Path from anywhere on campus for a one mile loop around SUNY Broome. The hornet is stamped in yellow on the sidewalks around campus. When you find a hornet follow until you see the next one, continue this for one mile around the campus- you should end up back where you began.

Interfaith Space: The Interfaith Space is a dedicated space for prayer and quiet reflection. It is open during regular campus hours and is located in the Science Building Room 201.
Zen Room: The Zen Room is a quiet space located in the Science Building where students can go to decompress, put their head down, do some yoga, meditation or a quiet activity away from the stress of college life. The Zen Room can be signed out by checking in to Room 102 of the Science Building. After completing a short screening, registered students can use the Zen room for anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on the demand of the room at the time.
MRC: The MRC offers students a place to gather and meet other students. It is located on the first floor of the Science Building and is open during regular business hours. It has a quiet lounge area in room 105 and games- pool, air hockey, ping pong and basketball in room 106. All games are free of charge.
Counseling Services: Counseling Services is a FREE and confidential resource for registered SUNY Broome Students. We offer short-term counseling, support through crises, group counseling, workshops, wellness programming and consultations. In person services are limited to Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. If you find yourself in a crisis after hours, and need to speak to a trained professional, please call our office at 607-778-5210 and someone can assist you. Student Health Services: SUNY Broome Student Health Services (SHS) provides currently registered SUNY Broome students with primary care of acute illness and injury. Our services include medical treatment, educational programs and referral services. All medical care at Student Health Services is confidential.
