Physical Sciences Department

The Physical Science Department at SUNY Broome aims to engage students across the curriculum in topics related to astronomy, atmospheric, earth and environmental sciences. Our courses are appropriate for students seeking SUNY General Education Natural Science credit and for students hoping to transfer to university science programs. The Physical Science Department faculty have interests and research backgrounds in astrophysics, agriculture, environmental policy, meteorology, oceanography, paleoclimate, paleontology, sedimentology, and science education. Highlights of our courses include laboratory field trips, applied learning and longer duration field and independent study opportunities.
