Abstract: This one-time funding will be used to support enrollment growth within four categories: (1) Enrollment: Purchase of a customized, up-fitted, and graphics-wrapped van to serve as a “Mobile Admissions, Education & Training Lab” that will will expand the number and types of outreach sites that Admissions staff can visit, from rural areas with limited internet access to inner city high schools where meeting space is at a premium. Multi-functional customization of this vehicle will allow for on-site registration, enrollment, career exploration, virtual campus tours, other immersive learning experiences, workforce and skills training education, and social engagement opportunities meant to pique interest in SUNY Broome. (2) Academic Programs: Redesign of the college’s website to best showcase academic programs website, and the production of pathways/career occupational experience videos that directly align with several goals and related actions set forth in the college’s “Marketing and Social Media Plan.” (3) Operational Efficiencies: Investment in Modern Campus Destiny One core software subscriptions as a non-traditional student management system, which features eCommerce solutions such as Amazon-like shopping cart and integrated payment processing technologies. Destiny One will provide the sort of digital experience that today’s nontraditional learners expect, while converting them faster, and increasing enrollment at the same time. (4) Student Services: Purchase of community hammock structures to serve fun social hubs to lounge in treeless terrain (indoor or outdoor) and provide a unique addition to the college campus, and the production of a virtual reality campus tour that will allow the college to give prospective students who are otherwise unable to visit the campus the opportunity to experience campus life.
