Abstract: Supports five goal areas intended to drive the direction and vision for Career & Technical Education (CTE) at SUNY Broome: (1) Supporting CTE Students with Disabilities via Access to Assistive Technologies & Personalized Support; (2) Adopting a Community Learning Model of Student Support Services Provision to Improve CTE Student Performance Indicators Across the Student Life Cycle; (3) Improving CTE Programs to Better Align with Regional Workforce Needs in the Health Care Industry; (4) Improving Programs of Study to Better Align with Workforce Needs of the Region’s IT & Advanced Manufacturing Industries; and (5) Improving Data Gathering Methods & the Use of CTE Student Performance Assessments to Better Inform Program Outcomes. These goal areas and their associated grant-funded activities, personnel, and equipment purchases were derived from the data, needs, and gaps identified in the institution’s Community Local Needs Assessment, which was a NYSED-required process to receive Perkins funding in the 2020-21 & 201-2022 grant years.
