Does your event involve partnering with an external company or organization? If so, these events require very specific approvals. The partnership must benefit the College and the activity must relate to the sponsoring department.
- Co-Sponsored Events: If your department is hosting an event with an external organization, the event representative will need to:
- Submit an Event Request Form and attend an Special Events Committee Meeting. Contact events@sunybroome.edu to get on the next agenda.
- The sponsoring Dean or Director must give approval to host the event.
- Fill out a Co-Sponsored Event Form to get appropriate signatures for approval.
Email events@sunybroome.edu for access to the form. - Follow steps for in person event planning.
- The Event Representative from the sponsoring department will be responsible for:
- Making all arrangements and submitting necessary request forms
- Being the contact for the event
- Being present for the duration of the event
- Share the Accessible Meeting & Event Checklist (pdf) with the External Organization so they may plan for accommodations. External organizers are responsible for ensuring events are accessible.
- Insurance: If your event involves an off campus company or group, you will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance.
- This certificate must be obtained by the off campus company or group’s insurance carrier.
