Welcome to International Student Services (ISS)
The international student program began in 1981. SUNY Broome Community College has a long tradition of internationalizing our campus.
The ISS office offers a variety of services to our international student population including:
Regulatory Assistance
- Monitoring students’ F-1 regulatory compliance
- Assisting with immigration questions related to non-immigrant status
- Recommend an immigration attorney
- Maintaining visa student records
- Complying with immigration regulations for the college
Programming
- New International Student Orientation
- Advocacy & Outreach to the campus
- Student activities to internationalize the campus
Administrative Support
- Maintain international student statistics (Open Doors, etc)
- Data maintenance for college (SEVIS, etc)
- Liaison with government agencies such as DHS, USCIS, and Consular Affairs.
