Welcome to SUNY Broome!
Congratulations on your acceptance to study in the United States. After receiving your official acceptance to SUNY Broome Community College, you will need to begin preparing for your arrival to the United States as an F-1 student. One of the more important aspects of this preparation is obtaining your F-1 Student Visa.
There is a required International Student Orientation before each semester. This is designed to help you get settled in Binghamton, get prepared to start classes including registration, and paying your tuition. It’s also a great way to meet other new students and our student volunteers here to help you get adjusted!
If we can assist with any other questions you have regarding your arrival, please email us at international@sunybroome.edu. We look forward to you joining the SUNY Broome Family!
Health Requirements
All students must show documentation of immunizations (shots) of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR). Your parents, doctor, or school usually keeps the health records. Please complete the Meningococcal Vaccination Response Form BEFORE you arrive.
You may need to have a TB screening done if you are arriving from one of the countries with a high incidence of active TB disease. You will receive the required documentation upon arrival, during the mandatory International Student Orientation. This documentation is required for you to enroll and attend classes in the United States.
