We are now accepting applications for Spring 2021!
Steps to apply:
- Apply and be accepted to SUNY Broome
- You will not have access to apply for housing until you have been fully accepted as a matriculated student and have taken any necessary Placement Assessments.
- Placement Test Information can be found here.
- If you are not able to get a timely placement test on the SUNY Broome campus, we have additional options for you. Both are at no cost to you. Call Admissions at +1 (607) 778-5576 to request either of the options below.
- If you live in the New York City Area, the Manhattan Recruitment Center, located on 33 W 42nd Street, Manhattan NY, can facilitate the test. Call them at +1 (212) 364-5821 to schedule an appointment.
- Regardless of where you live, you may have a school guidance counselor or librarian proctor the test for you at your high school or in the library. Please call Admissions at +1 (607) 778-5576 for assistance.
- You will not have access to apply for housing until you have been fully accepted as a matriculated student and have taken any necessary Placement Assessments.
- Submit your housing application and pay your $300.00 deposit
- To submit your application and pay your deposit, log into MyCollege, click on the “My Account (Banner)” link in the LaunchPad, click on the “Student” tab at the top, then click “MyHousing” in the menu.

After you apply for housing, you will be contacted by the Housing Office letting you know the status of your application. Room assignments start for students who have completed all of the steps above. Rooms are granted on a first come, first serve basis. As rooms become available, students will be contacted and offered a room.
**Please regularly check your email. If we reach out to you and do not hear back within 48 hours we will go to the next person.
If You Are Contacted Because We Have A Room For You The Following Must Be Completed RIGHT AWAY.
To be completed within two (2) weeks of being informed you have a room:
- Complete FAFSA – SUNY Broome’s Code is 002862
- Register for a full time (at least 12 credits) course load
- Log into your MyCollege Account – Check your Financial Aid Status, and Complete any Outstanding 2020-21 Financial Aid Requirements
- Submit MMR Immunization Paperwork to Health Services
- Submit Residency Certificate to Student Accounts
- Please note: Failure to submit your residency certificate will result in being charged out of state tuition, a cost exceeding $2,000. If this is not submitted and there is not designated funding in place to cover all housing costs, students will be dropped from housing.
