Dental Hygiene Alumni Association
The SUNY Broome Community College Dental Hygiene Alumni Association has been active with assistance of our Alumni and Foundation offices. The purpose of the Dental Hygiene Association is to provide a mutually beneficial relationship between the Dental Hygiene Department, its alumni, its students, the College and the community.
The intent is to enable networking, keep in touch with classmates, attend special alumni and campus events as well as stay connected to the Dental Hygiene Department.
Recently, over 300 alumni attended a 50th anniversary reunion. The alumni were able to reconnect through a blog website, Facebook, continuing education programs and a dinner party in the evening.
As alumni the graduates have access to the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The LRS has a “Dental Hygiene: A Pathfinder” publication to provide an overview of a variety of sources available through the LRS. The LRC also has a webpage entitled, “Lifelong Learning for Dental Hygienists.” This webpage provides information on continuing education courses, journals and books available at the LRC.
