You are eligible for EOP as a transfer student provided you have been enrolled in EOP, College Discovery, HEOP (Higher Education Opportunity Program), SEEK (Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge) or a similar academic and financial support program at your previous college. If your previous college did not have EOP or a similar program, you may be considered for transfer eligibility and should notify the college to which you are transferring of your interest. Transfer students must have their participation in EOP verified by their previous campus.
Students wishing to transfer to SUNY Broome’s EOP must email the EOP Director at rodriguezvl1@sunybroome.edu and put the following information in their email:
- Their First and Last Name
- The campus the previously attended
- The semester the wish to transfer to SUNY Broome
Once verification has been confirmed, the student will be added to SUNY Broome’s EOP roster.
“As a first generation student, EOP made me feel at home, and part of a college family. Being a member of EOP at SUNY Broome has helped me mature into a great student and person. I gained life-long friends, mentors, and a support system at SUNY Broome’s EOP program.
“I can honestly say EOP provided the building blocks for my successful college journey and I’m grateful to be part of the family. Since graduating from SUNY Broome in 2017, with the financial support and encouragement of EOP, I’ve been able to academically excel by studying abroad in Italy and Los Angeles as a senior at Ithaca College.
“I am currently on track to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Communications (Television-Radio) in May 2019. I would not have made it this far if it wasn’t for the EOP program and the help of Venessa Rodriguez and other EOP staff. EOP gave me the confidence to see I belonged and can be successful despite any circumstances and obstacles.”
