SUNY Broome Entrepreneurial Assistance Client Wins 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year Award
At the Entrepreneur Assistance Program 2021 Annual Conference our very own local business woman and proud founder and creative director of Idea Kraft, Ewelina Zajac-Holdrege took home the award and Title of 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year. Nominated by the BLDC/Broome-Triad Entrepreneurial Assistance Center hosted by SUNY Broome Community College, Ewelina has been a client since 2014 when she asked for help with her business plan before competing in the City of Binghamton BLDC/EAP Business Plan Competition. She went on to win that competition and also become certified with assistance from the Center as a NYS Women-Owned Business. This certification led way to successful contracts with New York State.
After winning the award, Ewelina plans to continue to grow as a business owner and as a person. She sees this award as a team accomplishment rather and an individual. Ewelina said:
“I’m very fortunate and very blessed to receive this recognition from the New York State. We have been working with the entrepreneur assistance center for a couple of years now, using their services and the resources for our business planning to getting a certification. So this is definitely a recognition not only for myself but the entire team.”
