Entrepreneurship Assistance Center

The SUNY Broome Entrepreneurship Assistance Center is possible through a grant from Empire State Development through the City of Binghamton’s Local Development Corporation along with local partners – Broome-Tioga Workforce NY and the Broome County Urban League. The EAC is located at the Koffman Southern Tier incubator at 120 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY 13901

So What is an Entrepreneurial Assistance Center?

We Offer Support Services Especially for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses

SUNY Broome is one of 24 Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers in the State of New York offering one-on-one small business assistance, essential business management educational sessions, and business networking opportunities, local community connections, business model and business start-up plan development programs – including the Entrepreneurial Assistance Center 60-Hour Program, and individual consulting and coaching by successful entrepreneurs and well-established business owners, experts and consultants.

We Help You Outline Your Steps and Plans for Business Success

More than 650 aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners have sought the assistance of the Entrepreneurial Assistance Center at SUNY Broome over the past 16 years. Each discovered the centers valuable support services to develop manageable, successful actions and simple written plans to start their businesses and grow the sales of their products and services and hire additional employees.

COVID 19 Business Assistance

In this unprecedented time, we are here to help you! Broome County Emergency Loan Fund

  • Principal and interest payments (P&I) will be waived for 12-months
  • No application or closing fees
  • 10% equity requirement waived
  • Expedited closing process
  • Expedited loan review process to include the following:
    • Authorized Credit Check
    • Financial Documentation Review:
      • Most Recent Tax Return
      • Draft or preliminary year-end financials for 2019 (if tax return not available)
      • List of current debt

Funds originated out of our STEED Loan Program can also assist businesses in the following counties: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, Tioga and Tompkins.
