Purple Briefcase – SUNY Broome’s Premier Job Board
Get Noticed and Be Prepared. Whether you are a first year student or about to graduate, Purple Briefcase is an important source of information, career-related events, and career exploration tools. Purple Briefcase is the main platform that SUNY Broome uses to post internships and job opportunities and connect you with employers. We encourage students to utilize Purple Briefcase by developing your profile, making your profile visible, and connecting with employers in the system.
Current students can access their FREE Purple Briefcase account by logging into myCollege. Once logged in, simply click on the link to Purple Briefcase that is in the student section of your launchpad. Your account has already been created in the new system, so there is no need to register as a new student.
Alumni who graduated December 2017 to present, you can register as a “new alumni” user by visiting this website. You will enter your first name, last name, and e-mail (use your SUNY Broome e-mail) and click on “find me.” You will then be prompted to enter your student ID (B00#). Since you were already in the system as a student, you have an existing account.
Alumni who graduated prior to December 2017, you can register as a “new alumni” user by visiting this website. You will enter your first name, last name, and e-mail and click on “find me.” You will then be prompted to create a pending account. Fill out all of the information to the best of your ability. Please use your current e-mail address that you check regularly. If you cannot remember your student ID, please type in N/A. Once your account is approved, you have unlimited lifetime access!
Big Interview is SUNY Broome’s On-Demand Interview Training System. Big Interview combines video tutorials and virtual practice software to help improve your interview skills and build your confidence. Big Interview offers:
- Challenging virtual mock interviews for all experience levels and dozens of industries
- A database of thousands of interview questions with tutorials and tips on how to answer them
- The ability to rate and share your interview answers for feedback
- A comprehensive video training curriculum covering all aspects of landing a job
- A step-by-step interview “Answer Builder” for crafting answers to behavioral questions
The Hornet Hub
Stop by The Hornet Hub in our Center to use one of three computer stations to work on your resume, search for jobs or applied learning opportunities, or to work on any career-related activity. Each visitor to The Hornet Hub can print out ten copies of their resume for FREE on professional resume paper. No appointment necessary!
