Gina Chase, Staff Associate
As a member of the Applied Learning & Career Center team, Gina strives to support students and alumni as they prepare for their careers in a variety of ways. Whether you are looking to develop your resume or cover letter, identify appropriate hands-on learning experiences, or search for a job, Gina is available to assist you!
Gina earned her B.S. in English from SUNY Oneonta in 2007 and her M.S. in Student Affairs Administration from Binghamton University in 2010. Gina’s varied professional experience in Academic Advising, Residence Life and Housing, Career Services, and Experiential Learning help her to best guide our students in their journey from classroom to career.

Jeanie Kumpon, Career Coach
Jeanie is the Career Coach in the Applied Learning & Career Center, where she is happy to provide students, alumni, and community members with resume development, interview coaching, and job search assistance. Jeanie’s position is due to a partnership with the NYS Department of Labor, so she is able to connect job seekers with additional resources, as well as NYS DOL career centers. Jeanie also collaborates with faculty to assist students as they transition from classroom to career, and works to strengthen relationships between SUNY Broome and local employers to retain graduates to our area.
Jeanie received her B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Counselor Education from the University of Wyoming and has an extensive work history centered on helping people identify and achieve their personal, educational and career goals. Jeanie has been with SUNY Broome since 2014.

Brittney Richardson, Graduate Intern
Brittney is the Graduate Intern in the Applied Learning & Career Center. She is working on some very exciting projects for the upcoming Fall 2017 semester and is ready to dive right in. She will be here throughout the Summer and Fall and is eager for all the learning opportunities to come, as well as helping students in anyway she can!
Brittney earned a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo in 2016. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Student Affairs Administration at Binghamton University and is expecting to graduate in May 2018.

Karen MacKenzie, Volunteer
Karen has a passion for working with all job seekers to help them find their job match. Karen has been a valuable resource and has assisted students, faculty, alumni, and community members better utilize LinkedIn to strengthen their professional visibility and connections.
Karen comes to us with experience as a Senior Manager in corporate recruiting with PepsiCo and GlaxoSmithKline. She has a B.S. from the University of Albany and started volunteering at the ALCC this past spring. Karen looks forward to returning in the fall for “Linked-In Tuesdays”!
