Step 1: Ensure that “New York” and “SUNY Broome Community College” are selected for the first and second drop-down boxes.
Step 2: Select “Alumni” from the third drop-down box.
Step 3: Enter your information and your preferred e-mail address (it does not have to be your @acad.sunybroome.edu e-mail), and click on “Find Me.”
Step 4: You will then see a message that gives you the option of clicking “Create Pending Account” all the way at the bottom – click on this and follow the prompts.
An ALCC Team Member will then approve your account within 24 hours, and you will have access to endless resources. Purple Briefcase is an important source of information, career-related events, and career exploration tools. Most importantly Purple Briefcase is the main platform that SUNY Broome uses to post internships, job opportunities, and other important career-related info.
The Hornet Hub
The Applied Learning and Career Center’s partnership with the New York State Department of Labor has made The Hornet Hub possible for our students, alumni, and community members. Stop by The Hornet Hub to work on your resume, search for jobs or applied learning opportunities, or to work on any other career preparation activity! Each visitor to The Hornet Hub can print out ten copies of their resume for FREE on professional resume paper. Before you head out to your next job interview or job fair, be sure to stop by and utilize this service.
