BPS Student Organizations
While academics are a priority at SUNY Broome, we believe in development and community service outside the classroom. For that reason, we encourage students to participate in student clubs and organizations. Students wishing to join a club can come to a club meeting and/or contact the club advisor.
Alpha Beta Gamma
Purpose: Alpha Beta Gamma is an International Business Honor Society established by business professors in 1970 to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year business and professional college students. The society is a member of The Association of College Honor Societies and has initiated over 65,500 members. To be eligible for membership, students must have a minimum 3.00 GPA and have completed 15 credits, of which at least 12 credits apply to their degree program.

Meetings: Usually Wednesdays from 2 PM to 2:50 PM in SB 105.
Purpose: The mission of the Business Club is to provide the opportunity for leadership training and professional development, to serve on the campus and in the community and to encourage participation in group activities. Membership is open to all students interested in business.

Criminal Justice and Emergency Services Student Association (CJESSA)
Purpose: The mission of the CJESSA is to give students the opportunity to develop the important bonds necessary to succeed in the fields of criminal justice and emergency services, and to interact with professional already working in these fields. Club members achieve those goals through community service and involvement, service learning, field trips to criminal justice and emergency services agencies, and hosting social activities as a group.

Purpose: The mission of the Hospitality Club is to promote hospitality industry related activities on campus, offering members practical experience, industry networking, student bonding, student – faculty bonding, and community service. The club has a strong commitment to weekly charitable fundraisers, in particular to the Toys for Tots charity, and hospitality field trip oriented goals. Membership in the Hospitality Club is open to any student enrolled at SUNY Broome, but of particular value to Hotel/Restaurant Management, Event Management and Casino Management students.
Meetings: Club meetings take place in SB216 for student-elected executives. Larger group meetings take place in Casino Vespa in the Science Building. Refer to the Campus Calendar for meeting dates.
