Can I earn a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Broome?
Although SUNY Broome does not offer baccalaureate degrees, our transfer agreements with Excelsior College make it possible for you to complete additional coursework at SUNY Broome, then transfer to the partner college to complete the upper level courses. The Bachelor’s degree is awarded by the partner college – Excelsior College, SUNY Empire State College or Bellevue University upon completion of all degree requirements and payment of required matriculation and graduation fees.
Do I have go to anywhere to take classes at the partner colleges?
The partner colleges do not require students to attend classes on their campuses.
Do credits from other colleges transfer to the partner colleges?
The partner colleges determine whether credits from other colleges fulfill degree requirements. The Partnership Program staff, SUNY Empire, and Bellevue representatives will work with you to get your credits reviewed.
Can I get financial aid through the partner colleges?
All of the partner colleges processes Federal Title IV Aid. A variety of financial aid programs are available to students including scholarship programs, Veterans Administration education benefits, private education loan programs and several New York State financial aid programs for New York State residents. The New York State Excelsior Scholarship can not be used at Excelsior College as it is a private, not-for-profit school.

Many individuals who have been out of college for a few years feel some hesitancy about online courses as they may had never taken one previously. Many students develop a preference for online courses due to their convenience as they fit well into busy lives.
